The long awaited rematch that was to take place at Metamoris 3 between Eddie Bravo and Royler Gracie has unfortunately been postponed. Many people were looking forward to finally seeing the rematch as many people said that the first win by Eddie was a fluke. In my experience there are no flukes when it comes to Jiu Jitsu. After causing such a massive stir in the Jiu Jitsu world it is a huge disappointment that this event is being postponed. There has been no mention of a reschedule date either which is also frustrating. I for one was really looking forward to finally seeing the rematch after all the first win is what Eddie built his career off of and founded 10th planet Jiu Jitsu on. Many people have criticised Eddie because of this and Royler himself has said that Eddie got lucky. Now I am not saying this is a 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu versus Gracie Jiu Jitsu match but we all know that the subtext of this match is just that. I hope whatever it is that has caused the postponement can be sorted out soon and I for one will be eagerly awaiting the announcement of the rematch date. Although I have been waiting for this rematch for a decade and will be rooting for Eddie Bravo, I above all else would like to see a great jiu jitsu match between 2 masters and legends of the sport.
